Creating an offline folder in Microsoft Exchange has been dominated by the Cached Exchange Mode setting. When you are setting up Cached Exchange Mode, you create a local copy of a users mailbox and an OST on your local hard drive. In Outlook, users can save up to 20 gigabytes of data to their system verses the 2 gigabytes of data on the previous formats. Before setting up your offline folder, be sure you have adequate disk space to accommodate your mailbox on your Exchange Server. Set Up Your Cached Exchange Mailbox
