Configuring Offline Folders

Creating an offline folder in Microsoft Exchange has been dominated by the Cached Exchange Mode setting. When you are setting up Cached Exchange Mode, you create a local copy of a users mailbox and an OST on your local hard drive. In Outlook, users can save up to 20 gigabytes of data to their system verses the 2 gigabytes of data on the previous formats. Before setting up your offline folder, be sure you have adequate disk space to accommodate your mailbox on your Exchange Server.
