Inserting Clip Art


You can insert clips from Microsoft's Clip Gallery or your own files. Clips ”copyright-free images or pictures, sounds, and motion clips ”enhance any message. A motion clip is an animated picture ”also known as an animated GIF ”frequently used in Web pages or videos . You can also insert your own files you scanned or created in a drawing program, and you can organize clip art in various collections using the Clip Art Organizer.

Insert a Clip

In an e-mail message, click where you want to insert clip art.

Click the Insert menu, point to Picture, and then click Clip Art.

Type the word or phrase that describes the clip art you want to find.

graphics/four_icon.jpg Click the Search In list arrow, and then select the check boxes with the collection in which you want to search.

Use the plus (+) and minus (-) signs to navigate the list.

Click the Results Should Be list arrow, and then select the check boxes with the type of media you want to search.

Click the Go button.

Click the clip art image you want to insert.

When you're done, click the Close button on the Clip Art task pane.

Did You Know?

You can connect to the Web to access additional clip art . In the Clip Art task pane, click Clip Art On Office Online to open your Web browser and connect to a clip art Web site to download files.
