Q&A

Q1:

I want to send my message to more than one person. How do I do that?

A1:

In the To box, type each person's e-mail address, separated by semicolons or commas in the To or Cc boxes.

Q2:

I created a beautiful e-mail message with fancy formatting, but when my friend received it, it looked horrible. What went wrong?

A2:

If the formatting disappeared, the most likely problem is that your friend's computer doesn't have the same fonts that you used to compose the message. If the message was filled with cryptic codes, it's likely that your friend's e-mail program can't handle HTML-formatted messages.

Q3:

I added two signatures in the E-mail Options dialog box, one for business use and one for personal use. How can I switch between them?

A3:

When you compose a new e-mail message in Word (by clicking the E-mail Message link in the New Document task pane), Word automatically inserts the signature that is selected in the Signature for New Messages list at the bottom of the E-mail Options dialog box. To change the signature in a particular message you're composing, right-click the signature in the body of the message and choose the one you want from the context menu that appears. (If you have Outlook configured to use Word to edit e-mail messages ”via Outlook's Tools, Options dialog box, Mail Format tab ”and you use Outlook to reply to or forward a message, the signature selected in the Signature for Replies and Forwards list at the bottom of Word's E-mail Options dialog box will be used.
