Hour 21. Working with Foreign Languages in Your Word Documents

If you work with English-language documents exclusively, you can skip this hour altogether and go on to the next . The focus of this session is on working with non-English text in your documents. Whether you speak more than one language at home, are studying a foreign language, or work in an international office setting, you will find that Word provides a sophisticated environment for reading, editing, and formatting text in a huge number of languages. The information in this hour assumes that you are using an English version of Windows XP with an English version of Office 2003. If you are using different software, many of the concepts described here will be useful, but the step-by-step instructions may not apply to you.

The highlights of this hour include
