INTRODUCTION
Word offers a highlight feature you can use just as you would a highlighter pen. This tool comes in handy when you're editing text onscreen ”it lets you call attention to blocks of text that you want to comment on, that need further revision, and so on. Word also lets you change the color of characters themselves (as opposed to the background behind the characters) by applying a font color. Although highlighting is useful regardless of whether you have a color printer (if you don't have a color printer, the highlighting will print in a shade of gray), you're not as likely to use font colors unless you can print in color.
