To join two paragraphs, move the insertion point to the beginning of the second paragraph.
Press the Backspace key once to join the paragraphs, or twice if there is a blank line between the paragraphs. (You may need to press the Spacebar to add a space at the insertion point.)
To split one paragraph into two, move the insertion point to just before the first letter of what will become the new paragraph.
Press Enter once, or twice if you want a blank line between the paragraphs.
INTRODUCTION
When you're composing a new document, you'll likely revise the paragraph structure as you go. For example, you may need to combine shorter paragraphs into one longer one or break up a long paragraph into two or more shorter ones. You can adjust the breaks between paragraphs by using the Enter and the Backspace keys.
