All the lines in a paragraph except the first line are indented.
hard page break
These page breaks (also called manual page breaks) are inserted by the user to force a page to break at a particular spot.
header
Text that repeats at the top of every page.
hyperlink
A clickable piece of text that brings you to a different location within the current document, to another file on your own computer or network, or to a file on the Internet or your company intranet.

I-beam
The mouse pointer you see when it's resting over text. When you see an I-beam, you can click to move the insertion point, or drag to select text.
in-line
In-line images are in the same layer of the document as the text, so text cannot wrap around them.
indent
To push in the text in a paragraph from the margin. Word gives you four indent options. You can set the indentation of each paragraph in your document.
insertion point
The flashing vertical bar in a document that indicates where text will be inserted or deleted when you type or delete text.
item
In a general sense, refers to any object on your screen. Also refers to a block of cut or copied text that is stored on the Office Clipboard.
