decimal tab
A custom tab stop that aligns text along the decimal point.

dialog box
A small window that appears when you issue a command followed by an ellipsis ( ) to get more information about how you want to carry out the command. Clicking the OK button in a dialog box issues the command; clicking the Cancel button cancels it.

A toolbar that is fixed on an edge of the Word window.

drawing canvas
An area on which you can place multiple shapes. You can easily move and resize the shapes on a drawing canvas as a group .
drop-down list
A list that stays hidden from view until you click the down arrow to its right. As soon as you select an option from the list, the list closes again.
