Installing Forms 6 i

This installation will be so quick and easy for you that you'll almost do it in your sleep. Load the CD, run setup.exe , and you'll see the now-familiar Oracle Installer:

Check the defaults for the installation location, and make any necessary changes:

Accept the installation settings, and on the next screen select Oracle Forms Developer . Then specify a typical installation:

Skip the Forms Server installation:

(Using a dedicated forms server is very common for performance reasons. For our purposes, however, we want to keep the installation as straightforward as possible.)

Various informational screens will appear:

On the System Support Files screen, click OK to allow the installation of required Microsoft files:

Next you'll see the familiar progress bar:

At the end of the installation you will see this message (if you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader, now would be a good time to download it):

That's it. It's simple! Now all you have to do is make a shortcut on your desktop that will take you directly to the Form Builder executable: ORANT\BIN\iFBLD60.EXE.
