7.1 How Content Management Server Works

Microsoft Content Management Server uses Microsoft SQL Server as an object and data repository, linking graphics and text stored in the database to the Web pages. It uses a neat idea of page templates, which are built by experienced HTML authors, who then hand them over to the end users for updating with appropriate business or organizational data (see Figure 7.3).
