Checking Your Layout by Previewing in Multiple Browsers

It s always a good idea to test a Web page in at least two browsers (if not more), because different browsers can display certain Web content very differently. To preview your page quickly in the default browser, select File, Preview In Browser, and choose a browser option from the submenu that appears.

The browsers listed in the submenu are the ones you have currently installed on your computer, so you need to have two or more browsers installed in order to preview the page in two or more browsers.

Since you re pretty much certain to be checking your page in two or more browsers, FrontPage gives you a time-saver by including multiple browser options in the Preview in Browser submenu. FrontPage will prompt you to save your changes, if necessary. It will then launch Internet Explorer and the other browsers that are included in its browser list. Be sure to verify and edit the browser list before you choose one of the multiple browser options; otherwise , you ll spend unnecessary time and computer resources opening one browser program after another.
