Green belt

The green belt is the individual who assists black belts with completing projects and applies the six sigma breakthrough strategy (DMAIC or DCOV) on the job. The specific details regarding the deployment and the role of any green belt is determined by each organization.

Other roles

Team members. They are the people who provide the everyday requirements for execution of the DMAIC and DCOV model. They also help spread the word about six sigma tools and processes and ultimately they become part of the reservoir of human resources available for future projects.

Process owner. This is the person who takes on a new, cross-functional responsibility to manage all the steps that provide value to the internal as well as external customer. The sponsor and the process owner may be the same person.
