Summary

This lesson provided a brief overview and defined SharePoint as well as demonstrated the difference between Windows SharePoint Services and SharePoint Portal Server 2003. An introduction on how to access a SharePoint site was given. An overview of the main components of a SharePoint site, and some sample uses for SharePoint sites were also provided. Each of these topics will be explored in more detail in the lessons that follow.
