About This Chapter

This chapter introduces you to the tasks you need to complete before attempting to design your Active Directory directory services infrastructure. Before you can begin your design you must assemble a design team, conduct an analysis of your business environment, conduct an analysis of your technical environment, and set up a test environment. This chapter also introduces the Active Directory infrastructure design process.

Before You Begin

To complete the lessons in this chapter, you must have the basic knowledge of the Active Directory components and concepts covered in Chapter 1, "Introduction to Active Directory."
