Cleaning Inkjet and Laser Printers

Inkjet cartridges can become clogged with ink, especially if the printer is not shut down properly, and laser printer toner cartridges can leak toner. To learn more about cleaning these types of printers, see Chapter 10, "Printers."

Use a vacuum cleaner as an alternative to compressed air whenever possible, especially when working at the client's site because it's neater ”there's no flying gunk that can land in awkward places.
