GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA)


GIAC Certified Forensic Analysts (GCFAs) have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to handle advanced incident handling scenarios, conduct formal incident investigations, and carry out forensic investigation of networks and hosts . To obtain the GCFA credential, a candidate must complete a practical assignment that demonstrates his or her knowledge of the subject area. Each candidate must also pass two exams. This is an intermediate-level certification, renewable every four years . It is targeted toward individuals responsible for forensic investigation/analysis, advanced incident handling, or formal incident investigation. GCFAs have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to handle advanced incident handling scenarios, conduct formal incident investigations, and carry out forensic investigation of networks and hosts.
