SSH: Connections Timeout

This is a very common problem with secure shell, and is not normally firewall relatedunless you have rules specifically set up to time out connections. Generally the way to fix this is on the SSH server itself by setting the following in the sshd_config file:

 # this defaults to On KeepAlive On
