If you've ever stuck around at the end of your favorite movie, you've probably noticed the credits come rolling up, listing the movie's stars. The same feature in Premiere also creates those ticker news bulletins that come scrolling across the bottom of your television. You can add these professional text features to your productions. Rolling titles and scrolling text features are easy to create in Premiere:
Remember, to control the duration and speed at which your rolling or crawling text plays, adjust the segment's length in your timeline. To increase the duration or have it play back at a slower rate, lengthen your segment. To speed up the playback, shorten the segment's duration in your timeline. A number of other Roll/Crawl options alter your title's playback behaviors. You can find these options on the Title menu. Select Title > Roll/Crawl. These features allow you to control whether the text begins and/or ends off-screen and whether the text's movement eases in and/or out on playback. It's a good idea to set up your page for roll or crawl before doing any typing. This saves you from later having to change around a static text page. note You might need to press Enter (Windows) or Return (Macintosh) to begin typing on the next line. Under the Title menu, you can choose to turn on the Word Wrap feature. |
