Summary

Congratulations, you have just completed your first real-world ASP.NET application! Over the past three intense hours we've created a multipage, fully functional website that has tied together the many lessons covered over the previous 21 hours. Give yourself a pat on the back; you deserve it!

I hope that working through this book has been both an enjoyable and educational experience, and that you're thoroughly impressed with the functionality of ASP.NET and Visual Web Developer. Despite the myriad of topics we've covered throughout these 24 hours, we've only just scratched the surface! That being said, we have covered the fundamental topics and in enough depth to build real-world, useful websites, as evidenced by the last three hours. But there's always more to learn and explore.

As you continue to use ASP.NET, sometimes you will get stuck when trying to solve a particular problem, and you won't find the answer in this book. Fortunately, surrounding ASP.NET is a huge community full of helpful individuals who are willing to help. I recommend that every ASP.NET developer check out Microsoft's ASP.NET Forums, available at http://forums.asp.net/. This online messageboard site boasts more than 200,000 registered users and far more than a million posts. It's a great place to ask your tough questions or help others work through their struggles.

In closing, thank you for reading this book. If you have any comments or suggestions, don't hesitate to email me at mitchell@4GuysFromRolla.com; you can also check out my blog at http://ScottOnWriting.NET/.

Happy Programming!
