Conclusion

This concludes the discussion of REALbasic's database tools, but I really only scratched the surface. To fully appreciate the power and flexibility of databases, you need to take an in-depth look at SQL, a programming language in its own right.

Also, although I created a database to be used with our RSSReader application, there is still some more work to be done to integrate it into the application. In the working application, you will want to be able to take the data in the RSSSub database and use it to retrieve RSS files. To do that, you will need to use REALbasic's networking classes and controls, which I review in the next chapter.
