In this chapter, I wrote about cross-platform programming and the App object, which is one of the objects automatically created in every new Application project. There are two more to review, MenuItem1 and Window1, and that will come in the next chapter. Most of your interaction with Windows and Controls with be through the IDE, so this chapter will go into more detail about how the IDE works and what all of the options are. You also can't talk about Windows and Controls without talking about events. Events are much like methods, but they have some unique properties that make them a powerful tool to be used in your REALbasic application development. |
