Linking Your Music Library with the iTunes Music Store

You have seen how closely the iTunes Music Store is integrated into iTunes. You can take this a step further by linking the music in your iTunes Library to the iTunes Music Store.

Enable this link by opening the General pane of the iTunes Preferences window and checking the Show Links to Music Store check box and clicking OK.

When you view music in your Library, you will see arrow links next to each song, artist, and album (see Figure 23.14).

Figure 23.14. Click a store arrow to view related music on the iTunes Music Store.

If you click an arrow link for an item, such as an artist, you'll move into the iTunes Music Store and will view music related to the arrow on which you clicked (see Figure 23.15).

Figure 23.15. I clicked on the store link next to Glenn Miller (as shown in the previous figure) that took me to all music in the iTunes Music Store related to Glenn Miller.

Using the iTunes Music Store links to the music in your Library is a great way to be able to quickly find music you might like.
