Getting Started with iDVD

Apple's iDVD enables you to create your own DVDs that you can play on your Mac or via a standard DVD player, like the one you probably use to watch DVD movies. You can include all sorts of content on your DVDs from movies that you create using iMovie to slideshows of photos in your iPhoto Library. Along the way, you can include custom menus with motion and other effects just like commercially produced DVDs.

Because this is a book on Mac OS X and not on iDVD, in this chapter, you'll get a fairly basic overview of this excellent application. Fortunately, iDVD is so well designed that a basic overview is likely all you need anyway.
