I Can't See My iPod in iTunes
There can be a number of reasons why an iPod isn't recognized by iTunes when you connect it to your computer. Solving this issue can usually be done by one of the following actions:
I Can't Move Some Songs onto My iPodWhen I perform an update, iTunes reports that some songs can't be updated because they can't be found. This problem occurs when you have music in your Library that iTunes tries to put on an iPod, but it can't find the original files containing those songs. When this happens, you'll see a dialog box explaining the problem. In order to correct this, you have two choices. One is to remove the missing songs from the update process such as by removing them from playlists that are updated automatically or by deleting them from your Library. The second way is find the original files again and reassociate them with the pointer stored in the iTunes Library (click the question mark next to the missing song and use the resulting dialog box to move to and choose the files) or reimport the music into the iTunes Library. |
