WebLogic's Support for JDBCWebLogic has built-in drivers to access any kind of database. These drivers include WebLogic's native JDBC drivers. WebLogic Server 7.0 supports JDBC drivers compatible with the JDBC 2.0 API. From Figure 7.6 you can see that the JDBC driver is a set of adapters that WebLogic Server supports to connect to databases. Today you will be focusing on the JDBC driver part of the adapters supported by WebLogic. WebLogic Server enables configuration of database connections using the JDBC driver in many different ways. You will be studying the three primary ways to configure database connections in WebLogic Server: connection pools, MultiPools, and DataSources. Figure 7.6.
