Customers as Co-developers


We are in business to serve our customers. Never losing sight of this fact is a major driver in the technology we select. By serving our customers as best we can, we are able to maximize their value at Staples and make them more loyal customers. We don't just go out and develop a project based on what we think might work or if we think it is a "cool" technology. We are focused more on what we know about our customer, what we think they want, and how to understand better what they want. We, as a company, focus a lot of attention on gathering information about our customers, talking to them, testing things that we want to do with them, and making sure that those things are understandable and deliver value to them. We look to our customers to be co-developers with us. What we are delivering, from a technology perspective, is exactly what our customers need and want; things that they will use and will have the most benefit to the business overall.
