My goal is to make sure that every day we are working toward the dream technology. At our company, that technology is to make organizations run more effectively. To enable this, we need to make people more effective. When we get this right, the technology will fade into the background but be ever present. The technology will capture data at its source without anyone thinking about it.

Business processes will flow seamlessly across customers, partners, and suppliers. Information will be available for people to do their jobs effectively through intuitive interfaces. And change will be accommodated quickly. Systems will automatically suggest changes to optimize the business, based on continuous monitoring. Alternatively, people will be able to call up information easily to enable them to use their own creativity to foster change. I see a symbiotic world where the judgment, creativity, and innovation of people are matched with the speed, accuracy, and predictability of computers.
