Getting Word Updates

Periodically, Microsoft publishes updates for the various Office applications and makes them available to all registered users. You can check to see whether updates are available for your version by connecting to the Internet, and then choosing Help, Check For Updates. Word connects you to the Updates page, shown in Figure A-3.

Click the Check For Updates link in the Office Update section and Office Update will check your system to see whether any updates are available, as shown in Figure A-4. If your system does need updating, the update links appear; you can then click the updates you want and they will be installed automatically without any further action from you.

Note 

It's a good idea to check for updates monthly to keep your version of Word 2003 up to date.
