Installing Office 2003

Be sure that you've backed up all important files before you begin your installation. Then follow these steps to install Office:

1. Insert the first Office 2003 CD in the drive and follow the instructions on your screen until the Choose The Type Of Installation page appears. (If setup doesn't start automatically when you insert the CD, display the contents of your CD, and then double-click Setup.exe to start setup.)

2. After you enter your product key, your user information, and agree to the license agreement, you are asked to select the type of installation you want. Select Typical Install, Complete Install, Minimal Install, or Custom Install. Typical Install installs the most commonly used Office components. Complete Install installs all the components in your version of Office. Minimal Install installs the minimum number of components, probably the best option if you're low on disk space. Custom Install enables you to choose only the Office components you want to install.

3. Click Next, and then follow the prompts on the screen to complete the installation.

4. When the Installation Wizard is finished copying files, a message box appears, telling you that the setup completed successfully. Click OK to close the message box.
