Word relies on Graph to help you create the charts you want in your documents. Graph is a full-featured graphing utility that enables you to use any of the 14 standard charts or the 20 builtin custom charts. You can also create your own custom chart types when you need to show unique data relationships for your documents. Table 14-1 lists the chart types you can create in Graph.
Standard | Column, Bar, Line, Pie, XY (Scatter), Area, Doughnut, Radar, Surface, Bubble, Stock, Cylinder, Cone, Pyramid |
Custom | Area Blocks, B&W Area, B&W Column, B&W Line-Timescale, B&W Pie, Blue Pie, Colored Lines, Column-Area, Columns with Depth, Cones, Floating Bars, Line-Column, Line-Column on 2 Axes, Lines on 2 Axes, Logarithmic, Outdoor Bars, Pie Explosion, Smooth Lines, Stack of Colors, Tubes |
Note | Graph is built into Word and all other Microsoft Office System applications as well. You begin a chart by choosing Insert, Picture, Chart. When you want to edit a chart, simply double-click the chart and Graph launches automatically. |
