Using Google Earth with GPS Devices

If you upgrade to Google Earth Plus and you have a Global Positioning System (GPS) device, you can connect the GPS unit to your computer and import your waypoint and track data into Google Earth. Waypoints are imported as placemarks; routes and trackpoints are imported as paths.

Note

At this point in time, Google Earth supports imports from Garmin and Magellan GPS devices only.

Importing your data is as simple as following these instructions:

1.	Connect the GPS device to your computer.
2.	Turn on the GPS device.
3.	From within Google Earth, select Tools, GPS.
4.	When the GPS dialog box appears, select your device's manufacturer, the types of data you want to import, and other preferences.
5.	Click the OK button.

That's it. Your imported data appears in the Places pane, labeled by your device (Garmin GPS Device or Magellan GPS Device, depending).
