More and more people are trading in their old film cameras for new digital camerasand connecting those cameras to their PCs. You can use your digital camera and PC together to transfer all the photos you take to your hard disk, and then edit your pictures to make them look even better.

There are several different ways to get your photos into your computeryou can transfer digital files directly from your camera's memory card, download pictures from your camera via a USB or FireWire connection, or even scan existing photo prints. We'll discuss them all next.
