Chapter 11 -- Working with the Command-Line Tool and Scripts

Chapter 11

This chapter shows you how to use scripting to automate a variety of cluster administrative tasks, such as setting members offline, changing load distribution, and deploying applications. The two key supporting technologies that we'll cover in the chapter are the Microsoft Windows Scripting Host (WSH) and the Microsoft Application Center 2000 (Application Center) command-line tool, both of which are used extensively. These technologies, used separately, or in combination, enable you to manage clusters, work with applications, and work with components.
