Welcome to the Microsoft® SharePoint^™ Portal Server 2001 Resource Kit. This resource kit is designed for people who want helpful tips, advanced techniques, and useful tools and samples to enhance their work with SharePoint Portal Server.

If you are responsible for administering or designing SharePoint Portal Server workspaces, or developing applications that work with SharePoint Portal Server, this resource kit is for you. Members of the SharePoint Portal Server product team and Microsoft Consulting Services wrote this resource kit with the intention of extending the information provided in the online documentation included with SharePoint Portal Server 2001. The information in this resource kit addresses specific questions from customers, and includes helpful tips for using SharePoint Portal Server that were not available at the time SharePoint Portal Server 2001 was released.

In addition to the information in this resource kit, the enclosed SharePoint Portal Server 2001 Resource Kit CD-ROM contains various tools, utilities, and code samples for SharePoint Portal Server. It also contains an online version of the SharePoint Portal Server Resource Kit in eBook format for Microsoft Windows^® CE devices.
