Overview
The data conversion is a sensitive task within the porting project. You have to ensure that all data will be moved to the target database both correctly and in time.
In this chapter, we discuss the data conversion methods for deploying the data from Oracle to the DB2 database. The data can be transformed through the following methods:

Using the Migration Tool Kit generated scripts and data file

Using MTK to move data on-line

Exporting the data manually from Oracle to flat file and importing or loading to DB2 UDB
