Solutions can take many forms. Solutions focus on specific business scenarios, providing a clear, targeted value proposition. Whitepapers target specific scenarios, describing solutions to performance problems, configuration and so forth. Microsoft partner-led offerings represent another type of solution. Accelerator products give customers a jump-start to help get e-business applications up and running quickly. Out-of-the-box solutions bundle products, technologies and consulting services to provide turnkey operations for enterprise customers.
The framework of portal services and e-business servers provides the foundation on which to build out-of-box solutions for horizontal and vertical markets. All of these solutions allow enterprise customers to solve business problems, lower costs, and achieve faster time to market. Currently, Microsoft has several solutions and accelerators shipping or under development.
