The full-function NSP contains a list of SPS representing parking facilities. The NSP make operate its own SPS to fill in information for parking that is not directly represented by a SPS. The SPS and NSP agree on access terms and billing arrangements. Normally the SPS is offered at no cost to the consuming NSP.
The NSP core navigation extends its planning functions by requesting sub-plans from the SPS, which are then incorporated into the search for the travel solution offered to the end-user application. The end user application is not aware of the existence of the SPS in this approach. This allows all planning functionality to be handled by the NSP and the client application to be as small and simple as possible.
