A client may have different interactions with the server depending on the version of the specification supported by the server. Client-server negotiation of the service definition is part of the connection sequence. In Version 1.0, we assumed a simple refusal on the part of the server whenever the client proposes a service model that the server does not wish to provide. In version 2.0, the interface structure is fixed, but the type of request-response parameters is defined by XML schemas and new schemas may be added to the MAGIC Services Registry.
