Galleries are the type of organizational container used for templates and for resources. Template designers create navigation and page templates and store them in template galleries. Resource managers store the various site resources, presumably gathered from a variety of sources, such as graphic artists, in resource galleries.
Like folders and channels, galleries can be created and arranged hierarchically, allowing whatever organization best suits the needs of a given Web site. Also, like folders and channels, access to galleries can be controlled using rights groups, enabling a site administrator to enforce policies about which resources are allowed to appear in different portions of the Web site.
