Different Languages and Currency
One of the ways in which Commerce Server 2002 represents a significant improvement over Commerce Server 2000 concerns support for multiple languages and currencies. The Product Catalog System has been enhanced to support descriptive and pricing information in different languages, driven by a language choice that is tracked for each user. The Content Selection Framework (CSF) has likewise been improved to allow language choice to be one of the criterion upon which advertisements and discounts are chosen for display for a particular user.
The International Retail Site, available in the Commerce Server 2002 SDK, is specifically designed to demonstrate the improved support for multiple languages and currency in Commerce Server 2002.
