Time to Learn

People were dragging chairs into the conference room. "Larger crowd today," thought Dan. "Tim will have to fight for doughnuts."

Just then, an announcement blared over the intercom. "The doughnuts have entered the building." In walked Tim and Bill, carrying ten large boxes.

"Hey boss-man, we brought a few extra to share today!" Tim yelled, as everyone dashed to grab a doughnut.

"Looks like we're going to need them; there sure are a lot of people interested in COM+," laughed Dan.

"Well, when you sent the video conference invite, I think it was forwarded to a few people around the company. Several of us have been using the Designing Component-Based Applications book, and we're excited to hear what the author has to say."

Just then, a giant video picture of Mary Kirtland displayed on the wall. "Hi, Mary," said Dan. "The gang's all here." Everyone took a seat.

"Thanks, Dan. Good to see you again. I guess I'll just get started."
