This chapter shows how the Windows Communication Foundation can be used to build and use Representational State Transfer services and also services that communicate with XML files, rather than SOAP messages. In so doing, the chapter also shows how to create a custom encoder binding element for the Windows Communication Foundation, and how to allow custom binding elements to be selected and modified in an application configuration file.
