Apple’s .Mac (formerly known as iTools) is a suite of services that extend the reach of your Mac to the Internet. Offering a wealth of features, .Mac is an ideal way for you to share your files, manage your e-mail, show off your photos, and synchronize data between two or more Macs. Currently sold at $99 per year, .Mac also gives you access to certain Apple tools, such as Backup, to back up your files, and provides other free software and advantages. While you don’t have to use .Mac, its functions are seamlessly integrated into Mac OS X and several of its programs; it provides excellent value to many users.
