In Chapter 10, I told you about Sherlock, Apple’s web services application. This program serves as an interface to display certain types of information available from web servers. One useful function in Sherlock is its ability to search for information in the AppleCare knowledge base on Apple’s support web site. You can launch Sherlock by double-clicking its icon in the Applications folder.
To get help using Sherlock, click the AppleCare icon on the Sherlock toolbar.
The AppleCare search page opens. Enter a question or a few keywords in the search field at the top of the window, and then press RETURN or ENTER, or click the green magnifying glass icon. Sherlock displays results in the top part of its window.
Click the name of one of the Knowledge Base documents in the top part of the window; the document displays in the bottom section.
If you want to save this document to read later, you can print it by selecting File | Print.
