Summary

In this chapter I introduced encryption, explained some of the concepts involved, and introduced to types of encryption used on WLANs. The topics I covered include:

• Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) encryption

• Introduction to Pretty Good Privacy (PGP)

Encryption can play an important part in securing your data. When used properly, WEP and WPA will help secure your WLAN and keep your communications secure.
