Now, don't fret if you don't hear from us for a few days, or months, or ever. We read every letter and try to implement nearly every constructive idea anyone bothers to send us. But we receive hundreds of reader letters a week, so it's not always possible to respond to all of them. Despite our close association with Photoshop, please keep this mind: We've never been involved in developing the actual program, we're not employed by Adobe, and are not trained in product support. Adobe can answer your technical support questions way better than we can, so we leave it to the experts.

Also, please don't write to ask if there's an accompanying CD or a Web site where you can access the images used in this book. There isn't one. The images in this book are not made available for two reasons. First, many are commercial stock images; understandably, their photographers would frown on us giving away their artwork for free. Second, the techniques discussed in this book are designed to work on your images. There's no need to slog through a tutorial before you can apply what you've learned to your own work. Instead, you can set right in making practical use of these techniques immediately.

So there it is ” everything you need to know to go forward. We don't think we've left anything out. But if we did, it's a big book, so there's plenty of time to bring you up to speed later.
