11.9 Where to Go from Here

11.9 Where to Go from Here

In this book, we have discussed the processes for analyzing, architecting, and designing networks. Although this book provides a comprehensive view of developing network architectures and designs, there are still many areas of work left to do after the network design is completed, including:

  • Evaluating vendors of network devices and services (This includes developing the request for information [RFI], request for purchase [RFP], and request for quote [RFQ].)

  • Procuring network devices and services

  • Planning the deployment (including staging) of the network project

  • Testing the network at various stages of deployment, to ensure that project goals are being met

  • Documenting the results of the project

It is my sincere hope that you have found this book useful. Good luck with your network projects!
