Chapter 14: Other Publishing Methods

How to…

Overview

  • Publish forms to a web server

  • Publish forms to a shared location

  • Send forms via e-mail

  • Export a form to HTML

  • View a form template using a style sheet

Now that you have had a look at installing forms and using SharePoint form libraries, you are ready to look at some of the alternate methods of distributing forms and form data. All the methods used in this chapter don’t require any further software or installations (other than the InfoPath Software Development Kit for some utilities) and provide simple solutions for distributing forms and form data.

As an added bonus, this chapter also covers how users who don’t have InfoPath installed can still view form templates and form data through a handy command-line utility and some XML style sheets. So even if you have decided to use one of the other distribution methods mentioned in previous chapters, there are still a few items in this chapter that you may find interesting and some techniques that may come in handy.

This chapter’s look at all of these different publishing methods and utilities begins with a discussion of publishing your form templates to a web server.
