Points to Remember


  • The router#show isis command shows if the IS-IS routing protocol is enabled on a specified router. This command also displays the system level information about IS-IS execution.

  • The router#show clns command provides global CLNS information such as the number of interfaces, NET, type of routing (L1, L2, or L1L2), and the routing area ID.

  • The router#show clns neighbor command shows the System ID, Interface ID, SNPA, Hold time, IS Type, and protocol used.

  • The router#show clns interface interface-name command displays details about the CLNS interface, where interface-name represents name of interface whose details are displayed.

  • The router#show clns protocol command displays details of CLNS protocol, including the areas involved with redistribution details.
