Project 10. Create Albums Using the Creation Feature

Use Photoshop Elements to create an album of special memories.

Tools: Photoshop Elements

Materials: Your photos

Have you ever wanted to create a card or an album as a gift or for a special occasion? The Creation feature in Photoshop Elements lets you do this quickly and easily using your digital images.

This project shows you how to create a album quickly and easily.

Get started. To begin, create a collection with the images you want to include in your album. In the Organizer's Collections tab, click New and select the desired images from the Photo Browser. Save your new collection using the title for your album.

Note: If you need help with creating a new collection, see Project 1.

Choose your creation. Double-click your new collection icon so that you are viewing only those images. Then, click the Create icon (), and the images in your collection will be selected for your album automatically.

In the Creation Setup dialog box, choose Album Pages and click OK. In Step 1 of the Create Photo Album Page dialog box, choose the style of photo album and specify how many photos you want per page.

Arrange your photos. Once you can see all of your photos in the Arrange window, simply click and drag them to where you want. The photos will automatically be re-sorted.

Add your captions. In the Customize dialog box, double-click in the box below the title photo to add the title of your album. Use the arrow keys on the side of the image to add the next caption. If you don't want any caption, simply click the caption box and press Delete. Then click Next Step to save your creation.

Create! In the Save dialog box, type a name for your creation and click Save. At this point, specify how you want to distribute your new album: create a PDF, print it, e-mail it, or post it to an online gallery. Then click Done.
